Lunch money goes in, snacks come out — and the keeper behind the glass takes it personally every time you win. A 7-reel, 3-row game that pays left to right, with a top win of 5,000× your bet.
The top win is possible in the base game and in the free spins.
A win starts on the first reel and runs reel by reel to the right. 3 to 7 reels in a row, each holding the same symbol, pay — and the more of that symbol on a reel, the more it pays: every matching symbol on a reel is another way, and the ways multiply from reel to reel.
The first gap ends the run. Every symbol that wins is paid on its own, and all the wins of a spin are added together.
The Vend-O-Matic has a mind of its own. In the order a base spin meets them:
Every base spin the machine is in a mood. Most spins it is its usual self; now and then it is sweeter (more Lemons, Lollies and Candy on the reels) or leaner (more faces). The mood is never shown and lasts one spin. The free spins always play the usual reels.
On reels 2 to 7 a snack can land stacked, 2 or 3 tall on one reel. A reel that shows one snack top to bottom lands with a thud.
Paper mystery bags can land on reels 2, 4 and 6. Before anything pays, every bag on the screen tears open as the same snack — Lemon, Lolly, Candy, Choc bar or Chips — and the board pays as it then stands. A bag never opens as a Wild.
Very rarely in the base game, the keeper reaches in and drops 1 to 3 Wilds onto the board before it pays.
Sometimes a Wild that has just landed on reels 2 to 7 bursts and fills its whole reel with Wilds. In the free spins the filled reel then stays sticky, like any other Wild.
In the base game, every symbol that was part of a win drops out of the machine once it has paid, and new symbols take those places — nothing above them moves. If the new board wins again it pays at ×1 on the first drop, ×2 on the second and ×3 on the third, with at most 3 drops a spin. A drop's multiplier is shown on the dial on the machine.
When a base spin pays nothing but its first two reels started a run, the machine can jam: reels 3 to 7 spin again once, and the new board pays as normal — snack drops included.
Every win pays its value times the ways it was made in. Figures are for one way.
The payouts above reflect the currently selected bet level.
The Wild stands in for every paying symbol on the reel it lands on, and it can land on any reel, the first one included. A Wild counts for every symbol whose run it touches. A run made of Wilds alone, from the first reel, pays as Chips.
The faces on the reels are the machine's customers: they fill the slots between the snacks and pay nothing.
Every hit has a chance to spill the bar and win free spins. The coin bar beside the machine fills with coins on every win and looks ready to tip over all the time — it spills over the whole screen when a win triggers the free spins.
Free spins can only follow a spin that won, and the bigger the spin's win (snack drops and a jam's respin included), the better its chance: a win under your bet has the least, a win of 20× your bet or more the most. There is no symbol to hunt for.
Before the free spins begin, the machine makes one decider spin. Only Wilds and empty slots land on it, and you always get at least 3 Wilds — never one, never two. Where they fall is the luck of the draw, and it can be far from the first reel. The decider spin pays nothing.
Every Wild the decider spin lands is sticky: it stays in place for all of the free spins.
You get 3 free spins with the sticky Wilds already in place. Any Wild that lands during a free spin sticks too, so the wall of Wilds only grows. When the last spin is over, everything the free spins won is paid.
A Wild that locks in the free spins can carry a brass tag: ×2 or ×3. A win that runs through tagged Wilds is multiplied by every tag on its way — two ×2 tags make ×4. Tags stay with their Wilds for the rest of the free spins.
Mystery bags, stacked snacks and the keeper's hand can show up in the free spins too; snack drops, jams and wild drops are base-game only.
During the free spins an FS symbol can land. 1 FS gives +1 free spin and 2 FS together give +3 free spins. There are never more than 2 FS symbols on one spin, an FS never pays and a Wild never stands in for it, and there is no limit to the retriggers except the max win.
The most a round can win is 5,000× your bet, in the base game or in the free spins. Reaching it ends the round immediately, and any free spins you had left are forfeited.
Misuse or malfunction voids all pays and plays.
